About Us
SCFI began as the Exhibit Development and Fabrication Division (EDFD) of the Philippine Foundation for Science and Technology (PFST). Created to develop the interactive exhibits of the Philippine Science Centrum (PSC), PFST’s flagship program, the division has since expanded into a subsidiary company that handles exhibit development and production for institutions other than the PSC.
The EDFD was awarded a “3-year, 50-exhibit” project by the Oil and Gas Development Center of Brunei (OGDC), which allowed its excellent craftsmanship to be showcased abroad. Foreseeing a wider market for its technical capabilities, the PFST officers and board decided to officially incorporate SCFI in October 2006.
Under the leadership of its president, Engr. Rodolfo C. Salazar, and Managing Head Ms. May M. Pagsinohin, SCFI produced 50 exhibits for the Brunei OGDC, 14 exhibits for the MERALCO museum, and 12 exhibits for the Pasig City Science Centrum and Library. SCFI has also recently closed deals with Sakala International (Pvt.) Ltd. of Nepal and the Newcastle Regional Museum of Australia.
